Marketing (B.S.)
In marketing, you will learn to identify, understand and satisfy the needs of consumers and organizations. Our curriculum links marketing to the entire range of business functions, preparing you to help businesses achieve their goals.

You will build a foundation in the field by taking Principles of Marketing. Then, you will take a six-credit-hour course that provides hands-on experience identifying, understanding and penetrating a target market. During the capstone marketing course, you will take an in-depth look at buyer behavior and market research as you design a marketing plan to deliver a product or service effectively and efficiently to the target market.

In addition to core marketing classes, electives allow you to specialize in advertising, entrepreneurial marketing, international marketing, internet marketing, promotion management or retail marketing. And if you're interested in sales, you can earn an emphasis in sales management — a highly desirable skill.

Unique opportunities to gain hands-on experience — and build your resume — are available exclusively to marking students such as the National Collegiate Sales Competition, Emerson Climate Technologies Advertising Challenge, P&G Marketing Challenge and ACRA Student Retail Analysis Competition.

You can also explore the business world and gain real-world experience before you graduate. Valuable professional opportunities such as internships and co-ops are available, and you will receive significant assistance in obtaining them.

The School of Business Administration's undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
