Whatever major you choose within the School of Education and Allied Professions, valuable real-world experience is part of your curriculum — from practically the moment you arrive on campus.
As a teacher education major, you'll be spending a lot of time in the classroom — not only as a student, but also as a teacher. Beginning your first year, you will learn how to teach by teaching students in classrooms, giving you the experience and confidence you need before you're officially "head of the class." And of course, you'll receive a solid foundation in the theory of education, resulting in a combination of book-smarts and street-smarts that's truly transformational.
In the health and sport science programs, you'll learn the proper strategy, technique and skills to successfully navigate through a storied career in sport science and health. Hands-on training, coupled with a systematic, research-based curriculum, means you'll find our students everywhere — in the labs, on the field and court, inside training facilities, and working with collegiate and professional teams.
With the human relationships they forge, teachers, coaches, physical therapists and dieticians all profoundly affect people's lives. (Just think back to some of them in your own life.)
