Welcome to the Raleigh/Durham Chapter
You don't have to be on campus to be part of the University of Dayton community. Last year, alumni chapters across the country hosted more than 500 events, including career-related, community service, spiritual activities, events around Flyer athletics and of course, social activities.
The Raleigh/Durham Chapter works hard to bring the Flyer spirit to your city by providing a wide variety of activities, services and events each year. We hope you enjoy your chapter site and find that it further connects you to your alma mater and fellow alumni.
In addition to reading about past alumni events and viewing upcoming event information, you will soon be able to register for events and make payments online, browse alumni photo galleries and much, much more. We will be sure to keep you informed as more services and features of your alumni website become available.
About the Chapter
Each alumni chapter takes a different approach in celebrating its connection with the University of Dayton by keeping the various aspects of its alumni group in mind. Each alumni chapter is comprised of alumni from different decades and degree areas. This is what makes our University so unique.

Get involved with UD in Raleigh/Durham
What better way to reconnect with your UD community than to volunteer for your local alumni chapter?
There are many opportunities to help! If interested, please contactElizabeth Holtsinger '09 at raleigh-durham@alumni.udayton.edu.
Join the Planning Team
ALL alumni are invited to chapter planning meetings. These meetings, typically hosted at a local restaurant, are the perfect opportunity to share ideas for future chapter events. If you are unable to attend a planning meeting, but wish to be involved, please contact your chapter president.
Career Networking Coordinators
Networking Coordinators are needed to help plan events that gather alumni and friends to strengthen their professional networks. Examples of events include: Speed Networking, Business Connect, Business Cards and Brews or hosting various speakers. Events can be hosted at local restaurants, country or athletic clubs, or homes of alumni.
Lifelong Learning/Cultural Coordinators
Lifelong Learning/Cultural Coordinators assist in bringing alumni together to support the arts or bring UD professors to your local chapter. The NAA helps provide assistance in ticket prices to allow for discounted tickets toward theatre performances, science or art museum admission, or assistance towards a reception with a visiting professor.
Service Coordinators
Service Coordinators organize a morning, afternoon, or all day event that gathers alumni and friends together to serve the local community. Many chapters work with local non-profits, such as Ronald McDonald or Habitat for Humanity, to help choose the date and time for this event.
Spiritual Event Coordinators
Spiritual Event Coordinators plan and organize activities that have made UD the nationally recognized institute of higher learning it is today. Spiritual events include Mass and brunch/dinner, hosting a Marianist brother or priest or local minister for a discussion and reception, Bible studies and more.
Family Coordinators
Family Coordinators help find locations and plan events that appeal to all ages! Events could range from a picnic day at a local park to spending a day at the local Children's Museum or Amusement Park.
Social Coordinators
Social Coordinators assist in finding local places to help alumni have casual and fun nights out! Socials include gathering at a restaurant after work, professional sporting events, game watches, sports leagues, outdoor activities and more!
Flyer Connection
Flyer Connection: University of Dayton Alumni and Parent Recruiting Network is coordinated through Enrollment Management.
Through this organization, alumni and parent volunteers increase the recognition and reputation of the University of Dayton across the country and around the world. These volunteers are enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and help us reach future Flyers.
