Accepted students in geology and environmental geology are invited to join the Department of Geology on a field experience:

  • April 6: Silver Lake Wetland and Clifton Gorge
  • April 13: Hocking Hills State Park

Schedule of Events

During a one-day trip to scenic areas in central Ohio you'll explore the natural environment, learn to use the latest technology in environmental data collection and meet with current geology students and faculty.

You will meet at the University of Dayton and travel to the field location. Geological research, activities and exploration will be conducted throughout the day, and you will return to the University in the late afternoon.

There is no charge to attend this program, and transportation and meals are included.
