Arts Events for Summer 2014

Note: While we make every effort to keep this listing up to date, event details are subject to change. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

Open parking is available in single-letter lots after 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, after 4:30 p.m. Friday and all day on the weekend. A parking permit is required at all other times and can be obtained at the main visitor center on University Circle or the parking booth at C Lot on Evanston Avenue.

Vocal Performance Institute

June 23 - 27

The Vocal Performance Institute (VPI) is presented each summer for students in grades 9 through 12. Instruction is provided by Department of Music faculty, along with professional guest artists from Dayton-area organizations including the Dayton Opera and the Human Race Theatre. Throughout this five-day institute students participate in various workshops and master classes covering a myriad of topics. They receive private lessons and have the opportunity to hear faculty and guest artists in recital. Students can attend the institute as residential campers or as commuters. The Institute culminates with a gala student recital that is open to families and friends. Learn more >>
