This Year's LitFest Theme: "Crossing Boundaries, Crossing Frontiers"

Working closely with a variety of UD programs, we will host LitFest 2013 during the first weekend of April, bringing an even wider range of events together under this year’s theme, “Crossing Boundaries, Crossing Frontiers.” Exploring the worlds of poetry and creative writing, we aim to engage our own undergraduate and graduate students and faculty, secondary students from the Dayton community, area school teachers, and other members of the community in an exploration and celebration of the literary arts. The two-day program (April 5-6, 2013) will include: our traditional feature readings by renowned, invited poets; group and open-mic readings by writers from the campus and area communities; creative writing workshops on poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, and screenwriting; and an open poetry slam facilitated by local slam poets.
