Juan Méndez is the United Nations' Special Rapporteur on Torture and is formerly of Human Rights Watch and the International Center for Transitional Justice. This presentation is the keynote address for the University of Dayton Human Rights Program Conference, "The Social Practice of Human Rights: Charting the Frontiers of Research and Advocacy."

This presentation is open to the public. Registration for the conference weekend is $200 and includes meals. Discounts will be available to emerging scholars and graduate students.
