Nicole Gross is a lecturer of music at the University of Dayton where she serves as the director for the Pride of Dayton Marching Band, the University Concert Band, and as an instructor for general music elective courses.Prof. Gross received her Bachelor of Music in Education degree from West Virginia University in 1996 and her Master of Music degree in applied conducting from WVU in 2005. Her conducting teachers include Don Wilcox and John Hendricks, III. She has been a staff member with Mid-Atlantic Band Front Camp for the past seventeen years, the past twelve serving as the head instructor for the drum major area. Prof. Gross instructed instrumental music for seven years in grades 8-12 in the Virginia public schools. Her bands consistently received superior ratings; her bands at Christiansburg High School were designated as Virginia Honor Bands for the 2001- 2002 and 2002-2003 academic years. Prof. Gross served as an adjunct faculty member with the West Virginia University Bands prior to coming to the University of Dayton. She was the assistant director of the Pride of West Virginia Marching Band, the WVU Pep Band, and was conductor with the various University concert ensembles.
