The Vocal Performance Institute (VPI) is presented each summer for students in grades 9 through 12. All activities are held on the historic UD main campus and instruction is provided by Department of Music faculty, along with professional guest artists from Dayton-area organizations including the Dayton Opera and the Human Race Theater.

Female Performer

Throughout this five-day institute students participate in various workshops and master classes covering a myriad of topics. They also receive private lessons, and have the opportunity to hear faculty and guest artists in recital. Students can attend the institute as residential campers or as commuters. The Institute culminates with a gala student recital that is open to families and friends.
