The registration deadline for the 2014 Vocal Performance Institute is May 30, 2014.
Cost of Attendance
The Department of Music is happy to announce that Institute pricing has been reduced for 2014. Residential students will pay $485 and commuters will pay $375, making it the most reasonably priced program of its type in the area. A nonrefundable application fee of $50 is due at the time of registration.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
Talent and need-based scholarships are available upon request on a first come, first serve basis. More than 90% of past participants received some type of financial aid and many received scholarships. All scholarship applicants must submit a recording. We will accept DVDs by U.S. Mail or electronic submissions such as emails with links to online recordings or videos on SoundCloud, YouTube or other sites. Please be sure that you have provided a complete URL to the site where your recording is posted.
Checks or money orders must be made out to Vocal Performance Institute.
Early arrivals are available the evening before (Sunday, June 22) for a small fee. Arrangements must be confirmed with the coordinator prior to arrival.
Registration begins on January 1 and ends on May 30, 2014 with scholarships announced by May 28. Register early because scholarships are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
A $50.00 non-refundable fee is due at the time of application to the program. No applications will be accepted after the May 30 deadline.
A deposit of $100.00 is due from accepted participants by June 1. The total balance is due by June 13. Please do not submit a deposit or any additional payments until you have receive confirmation of acceptance.
All VPI applicants must submit a reference letter from a choir director or private voice instructor. These letters can be sent with applications or separately by US Mail to the address below, or by email to Dr. Minnita Daniel-Cox.
Fully refunded cancellations, minus $50.00 non-refundable application fee, may be made until the June 1 deadline. After June 1, housing and meal portion of tuition is forfeited and a $175 late cancellation fee will be subtracted from refund amount. Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email or postal mail by the guardian who registered the participant. No refunds will be granted ten working days before the institute begins.

All registrants must complete these forms and mail them to the following address. Commuters, please read the Commuter Contract below. This contract must be signed and submitted with all commuter registrations.
