Annual Humanities Symposium

Each year, the symposium addresses a theme in the Humanities Base, a university-wide program designed to enhance interdisciplinary connections among required humanities courses. Activities typically include a keynote address, a "Meeting of the Minds" panel exchange, a visual art presentation, and a faculty panel discussion. Some of the past symposia have had such themes as "The College in Concert," "The Humanities: The Content of Teaching and Learning,"  "Becoming a Responsible Self: Perspectives on Autonomy and Responsibility," "Nature's Infinite Book: Perspectives on Humans and the Cosmos," and "Faith, Reason, and the Life of the Mind."
