Pre-Law

Discover your path to the law. And take it.

The Pre-Law Program supports and guides all students who are considering a potential legal career with its twofold mission of helping students determine whether the law is the right path for them, and if it is, equipping them to excel in law school. It is an ideal option for entering students who want to explore that path but who are undecided about their major. Our First Year Experience Seminar, ASI 150, will introduce you to UD and the Pre-Law Program, as well as help you with the process of selecting a major.

After the first year, the Pre-Law Program offers a skills-based minor designed to give students the toolkit needed to succeed in law school. A highlight of the minor is required experiential learning. We offer additional enrichment beyond the minor. For example, we have a LexisNexis partnership for micro-credentialing undergraduates in the use of LexisPlus for legal research, the country’s only such program. This is only one of our many enrichment opportunities.

Do you have what it takes? You will. UD Pre-Law.

Something for everyone.

The Pre-Law Program is open to all students. We are, indeed, the program for all majors.
