It's Crunch Time

04.27.2011

Good afternoon! I haven't had a chance to get on here for awhile, but I'll do my best to play catch up.

So there is a direct correlation between the days left of the semester and the amount of work to be done; it goes something like this: as the number of days goes down, the number of work goes up--way up. Since Easter fell late this year, we had this nice little break right before things really ramped up, but the break was really just a tease. We had last Thursday through Monday off, and it was a serious struggle to get back into the swing of things this week. Unfortunately, I had an organic chem. test last night, and I have a physics test tomorrow, so there really is no time to mess around at this point. I am getting a serious itch to get an A in physics because my grade is right on the line. If I want to achieve my goal, however, I have to do better on tomorrow's test and the final than I have ever done on any test. I really would like to get at least an A-, though. I went to my professor's office hours today, and he helped me for about an hour. I had no idea how much I didn't understand until he kept asking me questions where I had to reapply the material. He has confidence that I can do it, but I am still lacking in that department.

After I went to physics, my day became quite light-hearted and interesting. I am really going to miss my general education classes because they can be so entertaining. In my music and technology class, we started doing presentations and a group did a presentation on the Beatles, which was fantastic! After music, I had my information ethics class and we watched an episode of The Three Stooges to kick-off a discussion about humor ethics. I had no idea such a topic existed, but I found it to be really interesting. I have really enjoyed this philosophy class because we had one paper and a final paper and both papers are wide open; he just asks that we write about a topic covered in class.

Well, I have to start my journey down a path called physics. Have a great evening!
