Alright VWK, you get some points for that one

So, normally KU is my favorite dining hall, but today VWK had prime rib for dinner, and that scores major points in my book. I thought it was going to be a normal dinner, like usual, however the whole dining hall was decorated, and it was really nice. It was formal, so we got to use cloth napkins, and they had appetizers outside of the cafeteria. My favorite thing was the fountain that was pouring sparkling grape juice—it looked so pretty.

There was so much food to choose from! You got to choose a meat, 2 sides, a salad, a dinner roll, a desert, and a fountain drink for the low price of $7.25. Needless to say, it was very difficult to choose, especially when everything looked so darn good! VWK scored even more points, when I went to go get my prime rib—they were carving it as you ordered it, AND they had homemade au jus...delicious!

I thought it was really nice of them to decorate the dining hall and make us feel like we were somewhere special for dinner. A formal dinner is nice to go to every once in a while, instead of the typical “cafeteria” style, that you grow used to. I have to say, VWK might be my new favorite dining hall for a little while.
