Drink it, it'll make you feel better!!

10.26.2010I often feel like a mom here at school. For instance, my roommate is currently sick with a cold, and I kind of surprised myself, because I really donÂ’t do all that well around sick people. IÂ’m actually somewhat of a germ-o-phobic. But, I guess my maternal side has kicked in, because IÂ’ve been tending to make sure that sheÂ’s feeling okay, along with drinking and eating.

I also feel like a nurse or a pharmacist, because I have a ton of medical supplies in my room. I have anything from cold medicine, heating pads, cough drops, Vicks VapoRub—the works. Literally, it’s similar to having a small child, as in the fact that I had her take some Nyquil cough syrup, and she gave me a disgusted look after slowly drinking down the thick, red, strong-smelling syrup. Of course, we all know how horrible Nyquil truly tastes, so I tried cheering her on and coaxing her to finish the medicine. “Come on! It’ll make you feel better! Don’t you want to feel better!” Hopefully, she’ll get better soon, and I won’t come down with the same thing. Honestly, I’m starting to run out of Lysol spray, since I’ve been disinfecting our room on a daily basis...
