Let summer begin

05.18.2013 | Current Events

Regretfully, it's been a while since I've last blogged, and now summer has officially begun. Quite a few things have happened since I've last been on, and I'll try to highlight the ones I deem particularly exciting!

1. I am officially done with my junior year of college, which is beyond scary, but also exciting.

2. I completed some pretty cool final projects for my classes. For one, I advertised completely for the Mass of the Holy Spirit which kicked off the Stander Symposium, creating posters, table toppers, bracelets, and prayer boxes. I left the prayer boxes and bracelets in residence halls, where students could fill out prayer cards and place their intentions inside the boxes. I then went back to collect the boxes, bringing them to the chapel for the actual mass to be prayed for in the intentions. The whole deal went over very well with campus ministry, and with my teacher!

3. I went to Hilton Head with my roommates the week after we got out of school which was very fun. It was a wonderful break between school and coming back home for the summer. We got to go to the beach, lay by the pool, and spend some fun evenings out.

4. I have just completed week 1 of my summer internship at a place in Akron called 427 Design. I'm working 9-5 Monday-Friday (and it's paid!) So far it's been a lot of fun, and I've already learned many things that can only be gained from experience in the field. I'm so excited to continue on and see where this summer takes me.

Happy summer, everyone!!
