Sunflowers, balloons, and springtime

03.11.2011

Well, on Wednesday, it snowed. Quite a bit, actually. I thought it was springtime! It had been so nice out the few days before, and now the snow was back. But not for long- today it is in the sixties, and it is beautiful.

So what have I been doing with my life?

My friend and I have been growing sunflowers in little pots – they were planted the day we got back from break. I’ve been watering them every other day or so, and they are sprouting up! Almost 2 inches now, which means they’ll need to be replanted into a bigger container…which means that we will need more soil. So, we’re trying to figure out where to obtain some good quality dirt for our sunflowers to grow. We’re giving the extra seeds to our other friends and so we’ll all have cute little sunflowers on our windowsills in no time.

In reference to balloons, we were playing with a ton of them last night in the hallway of Founders- a traditional game of “keep it up.” But we were playing with our heads only, which got to be pretty hilarious by 1:30 AM. We have video and a ton of pictures of the whole game, which lasted quite some time.

And today? It’s SPRING outside!!! It’s so nice outside, and I just want to get out there and run around. So I’m trying to finish my work really early in order to go out and play soccer or something. Welcome, warm weather. I like you a lot.
