Family Weekend Recap

09.28.2009"Family weekend is over and yet another school week has begun. Here's a quick recap of this weekend's festivities:

--My two best friends from home, Shae and Renee, came to visit around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. After Shae checked her Farmville on Facebook (she's addicted, I swear), we all went to the Dayton Mall which is just a short drive down 75S.

--We met my parents and brother at Fridays for dinner after they had checked into their hotel.

--Then, we all hung out at my apartment for a while, with Lauren and her parents. Our other roommates, Jess and Annie, went home Friday night so we didn't get to hang out with them this weekend.

--The show went magnificently on Saturday. I was so happy my friends from home and from UD and my family could all be there to see it. It was hilarious to walk out of the auditorium to see them afterward with my stage makeup on still. Black eye shadow, pale face, red lips--you can bet I got some pretty funny looks!

--Shae and Renee left that night, and the next morning my family and I went to breakfast at Bob Evans and made our routine trip to Wal-Mart to stock up on groceries, which I definitely needed.

--After that we watched a little bit of NFL football and then my family left to go home and I got ready for show number 3. I'm so sad that it's over now, but it was a great experience and I met some really great people. In fact, I'll get to see all of them a lot more because we're all in the main stage production of The Lark (the story of Joan of Arc) together and we start rehearsals for that this week!

Like I've said a million times before, I'm stoked that my friends and family could come this weekend--I really miss them, especially my brother. He even brought me a birthday present--the new Brand New CD ""Daisy,"" which I'm listening to currently :) Luckily, I don't have to wait too long to see them again--I'll be home in a week and a half when we have mid-term break from October 8-11. They know I'm writing these blogs, so I'm sure they're reading this now. So, here's a shout-out to my lovely family and friends back home--love you guys and will be seeing you soon!
