It's All Part of the Plan

This past weekend I got the chance to do something I havenÂ’t done in a long time: I went to see a movie. At a movie theater. I will pause for a moment so you may gather your thoughtsÂ….Alright. Now that youÂ’ve recovered, I will continue. I know it doesnÂ’t seem like going to a movie would be a luxury, but with my hectic schedule it really is. But, I took the opportunity over mid-term break to actually experience this phenomenon that I had forgotten existed.

What did I see? Well, my brother and I went to see “The Adjustment Bureau” on Saturday. It’s the new Matt Damon movie about a world in which our decisions are monitored by a group of higher authorities. Going into the movie I expected it to be comparable to the “Bourne” trilogy, but it was surprisingly less action-y and more romantic than I thought it would be.

That said, it was still an interesting concept. There was actually a religious undertone too, which was intriguing. I think what I liked the most was that I couldn’t really figure out how it was going to end. I wavered back and forth between thinking they would end up together and thinking they would go their separate ways. Want to know what happened? I guess you’ll just have to see it for yourself…I’m not going to be responsible for spoiling “the plan.”
