Pancakes Put a Spell on Me10.25.2009"First of all, sorry I've been MIA for so long. As I've said before, these past few weeks have been crazy. I've got a few things to update everyone on, but I'll try to take it slow.
Thing number 1: Saturday was a glorious day. Why, you ask? Well, it just so happens that Saturday was a Studio Theatre pancake breakfast! And, what, you say, does a pancake breakfast consist of? A whole lot of wonderfulness, that's what. More specifically, it includes all of the Studio kids getting together at someone's house or apartment or dorm or closet (just kidding, we wouldn't all fit in the closet) to eat pancakes and watch a movie! This month's movie was especially exciting for me because it happens to be my favorite Halloween movie of all time. Can you guess? It's Hocus Pocus of course! And, not only did I get to laugh at Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker and eat pancakes with some of my favorite people, I also enjoyed bacon and wore a Halloween costume! Stellar, I know. I dressed up as a football player--it was Lauren's idea last minute and it worked out beautifully.
Basically here's how it went. We all met at Grace's on ArtStreet (student housing by the ArtStreet Cafe and recording studio) and indulged plentifully on pancakes and bacon, then headed over to one of the ArtStreet studios to be bewitched by a Disney classic.
That afternoon was everything I ever hoped it would be, and I must say that it put me in the Halloween mood. That Bette Midler really knows how to put a spell on us. Also, for the sake of time and organization, the rest of the ""things"" will be discussed in new blogs to come :)
