Overarching Color Palette

The University of Dayton's overarching color palette includes the Dayton red (PMS 200) and blue (PMS 288) along with supporting neutral colors. Also, if type is to be set in black—as opposed to white or a color—it is preferred that copy be set in 90 percent black. Undergraduate Color Palette

The following palette of seven colors is the official color palette for the University of Dayton's undergraduate branding materials. Used along with the University's overarching color palette, the undergraduate colors provide a poppy, warm and optimistic palette—one that reflects the youthful tone appropriate for a high school student. While these colors may be used occasionally for marketing materials in other sectors of the University, designers are required to use only the official seven colors and overarching University color palette when creating undergraduate materials. Notes

- The above colors are the base colors from which you should work. Colors can shift slightly to accommodate photography and/or typography.

- When using any of these colors in a transparent text box or banner, the opacity should be adjusted for readability. A 90 percent setting is usually a good rule of thumb to follow.
