TVA SCHOOLS

The R.I.S.E. XII Forum and the Tennessee Valley Authority are partnering to offer students and faculty from participating TVA Investment Challenge schools a unique educational experience too good to miss.

R.I.S.E. is providing attendees from the TVA schools two exclusive meeting opportunities within the framework of its annual forum: a private Thursday evening dinner at the conclusion of the first day of R.I.S.E. programming and a TVA-only breakout session on Friday conducted by Clifton Lowry. Think of it as a conference within a conference; a two-for-one deal; a stock split! And, as with a stock split, this opportunity is designed to not diminish the overall R.I.S.E. experience for TVA participants.

Forum organizers and TVA officials are working together to provide TVA students the best of two worlds: participation in the nation's premier student investment conference interspersed with networking/conferencing opportunities with fellow TVA Investment Challenge schools. Here's how it will work.

  1. The R.I.S.E. Forum traditionally hosts an optional dinner at the University of Dayton Arena at the end of the day on Thursday for the convenience of conference participants. This year, one of the dining areas will be dedicated for the exclusive use of the TVA Investment Challenge Program. This TVA dinner may be used strictly for socialization, or a program can be incorporated at the discretion of the TVA or participating schools. Be sure to mark the appropriate box on the registration form.
  2. All forum participants pre-select six breakout sessions to attend over the ensuing day and one-half: two on Friday morning, two on Friday afternoon and two on Saturday morning. Clifton Lowry from the Tennessee Valley Authority will present one of the sessions at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, and attendance at that session will be limited to students and faculty from TVA Investment Challenge Schools.

If you're a member of a TVA Investment Challenge Team, or its faculty advisor, you'll want to take advantage of our early bird discounts by registering before March 1 (see the REGISTRATION tab on the homepage. When completing our online registration form, be sure to sign up for Thursday's special TVA  dinner on the "Agenda & Fees" screen. And once breakout sessions are announced, look for the TVA session at 9:45 a.m. on Friday morning.
