How do you develop your organization's executives of the future? Research indicates that top performers can be as much as 1000% more productive than your average employee. Yet, it takes 10 years to develop even a top performing leader to be successful in an executive role. In order to retain high potential individuals, organizations must continue to invest in their training and development. The Emerging Leader Program can help you do just that.
The Emerging Leader Program is a yearlong leadership and business skill development program for high potential future executives in corporate, government and non-profit business organizations. In addition to experiential leadership and development training using local, regional and national thought leaders and top UD School of Business professors as facilitators, the program includes multiple assessments, networking with other high potential leaders, executive coaching and a formal mentoring program. Emerging Leaders graduate with the skills and confidence needed to be successful at the next level and beyond.
The Emerging Leader Program is ideal for top performing leaders with 10 or more years of experience and an advanced degree or combined equivalent experience. Organizations should identify emerging leaders as having the potential to advance into an executive role. Your company's selection and support of these emerging leaders will enable them to move into executive roles seamlessly, confidently, and successfully.
Individual programs feature a broad array of topics including: leading change, accounting, finance, operations management, marketing essentials, strategic business development, executive communications, legal and ethical issues in the workplace, coaching for performance, managing management time, leadership that builds community, leadership authenticity, executive effectiveness, leadership challenge and more.
The cost of the Emerging Leader Program is $12,000. In addition to 20 days of business skills and leadership development training, assessments, mentoring, coaching and networking, emerging leaders receive admission to two of the Center for Leadership's executive development programs during the 12 months following graduation.
