
Italy Program Description, Pricing & Registration
Your Italy: A Harmony of the Arts program includes:
- Pre-departure orientation meeting in Dayton

- Detailed informational literature
- Land transportation by private deluxe motor coach
- Eleven nights deluxe, centrally located accommodations with private bath
2 nights in Milan
4 nights in Florence
1 night in Assisi
4 nights in Rome - Daily breakfast buffet, and five lunches or dinners on land, including a Farewell Dinner in Rome
- Gratuities for all group activities
Guided walking/bus tours and daily lectures on the history, music, art and cultural traditions of the cities we visit- Two opera performances: Monteverdi’s The Return of Ullyses to his Homeland, at LaScala Theater; and Richard Strauss’ Electra at Rome Opera Theater
- Sights of interest, of which the following are but a few:
Milan: the impressive gothic Cathedral and the La Scala museum
Busseto: the residence and museum dedicated to Italy’s most beloved
composer, Giuseppi Verdi
Florence, the capital of Tuscany: the Piazza del Duomo (Cathedral) and the
Uffizi Gallery with the world’s foremost collection of Renaissance art
Assisi: the medieval city center and Cathedral of St. Francis
Rome: the Vatican (scheduled to include a Papal Audience if the Pope is in
residence), the ancient monuments, and the beautiful Villa Borghese museum - Time for shopping and pursuing own interests at each site
Pricing & Registration
Program Price: $3,900, based on double occupancy.
Payment Schedule (per person):
- To reserve space, please complete and return the registration form by July 1. (extended deadline)
- Reservations, accompanied by a $400 deposit, will be accepted on a first come basis. (After July 15, deposit is non-refundable.)
- Full Payment is due August 15.
Please note:
- A limited number of single occupancies are available at additional cost.
- Adjustments in the program price may be made as necessary to accommodate individual travel plans.
- Program price is subject to changes in airfare and exchange rate.
- As the University of Dayton has no control over the actual operation of the air, land or sea elements of this travel program, it provides no expressed or implied warranty.
- Various program activities included will require walking. Please contact the program directors if you have accessibility questions.
