Karen McBride is the Director of Education Abroad and Partnerships at the University of Dayton’s Center for International Programs (CIP). The Education Abroad office coordinates short and long term programs abroad for students and faculty at the University of Dayton. Karen also manages a variety of partnerships with international institutions to enhance campus internationalization and facilitate cross-cultural opportunities for UD students, faculty and staff. Originally from Texas, Karen began at UD in 2014 and brings more than 10 years of experience working in international higher education. Her background includes study abroad experiences in Costa Rica and Scotland, an internship at the National Museum of Ireland, a post-graduate degree from the U.K., doctoral research conducted in Thailand and a short-term project as a visiting researcher for the Office of Higher Education Commission Bureau for International Cooperation and Strategy in Bangkok, Thailand. Karen is also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Antigua, West Indies.
