Profile

Suki Kwon, born in Korea, came to the United States in 1997 as a part of an exchange program through the University of Iowa. She received an M.A. in 2001 and an MFA in 2003 from the University of Iowa. Trilingual in Korean, English and Japanese, Professor Kwon performed independent research in Tokyo, Japan, with FLAS fellowship and Stanley scholarship support before joining the faculty at the University of Dayton in 2004. She is a 2008 NICHE award winner and a grantee of MICA summer Artist Residency Program, Norton Island Residency Program, two University of Dayton Summer Research Fellowships, SEE Grant, two International Research and Development Grants, Diversity Grant and Ohio Arts Council Grant.
