Dale E Courte
Dr. Courte joined the UD faculty in the fall of 2002. He has worked in higher education for over 20 years, in both academic and administrative positions. He is a member of ACM and the IEEE Computer Society. Dr. Courte is the chair of the department and the director of the Graduate Studies Program in Computer Science.
The Faculty Perspective
For me, teaching has been the most rewarding work experience of my career. I appreciate the opportunity to effectively share the knowledge I have acquired with motivated students, and to continue to learn myself. That is what drove me to complete my Ph.D. twenty years after completing my M.S. Professional experience in both technology support and the administration of a large technology organization bring an applied perspective to my teaching. Research and teaching go hand in hand, because the research issues of today become the classroom topics of tomorrow. I look forward to the opportunity to pursue my research interests here at UD, working closely with and learning from both faculty and students.
