Profile
When Linda Casola left her hometown of Rochester Hills, Michigan to join the University of Dayton community, she thought it would only be a four-year stay. However, after graduating with a degree in English, her role as a "Faithful Flyer" truly began: While studying part-time to earn her master's degree, she spent two years recruiting students to UD as an Admission Counselor in the Office of Enrollment Management. After completing her second degree in English, she left UD only temporarily to teach at Kennesaw State and Clayton State Universities in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2008, she was happy to return to UD to begin the next part of her Flyer journey: working for the department where her passion for language and literature first developed. Currently, Casola teaches English 100, English 100-L, English 200, and English 151. She also enjoys her recurring departmental role as a teaching advisor for graduate teaching assistants.
Faculty Perspective
It's exciting to work on a campus that encourages its students to participate in unique service, social, and leadership activities (like Christmas on Campus, Greek Life, Red Scare, BreakOuts, or Flyer Enterprises) to better complement their academic experiences.
