Jeff Lehman is the director of the Pride of Dayton Marching Band and concert band at the University of Dayton. Lehman earned his bachelors degree in music education from Missouri State University and a masters in conducting from the University of Memphis. He is also a candidate for the doctorate of musical arts in wind conducting and literature from the University of Colorado-Boulder, where he is a student of Allan McMurray. Prior to arriving in Colorado, Mr. Lehman taught in the public schools in Tennessee for five years, spending four as band director at Hunters Lane High School in Nashville, TN and one year as an instructional coach (also at Hunters Lane). His instrumental ensembles won many awards, including the prestigious GRAMMY® Signature School Grant. Mr. Lehman was also named one of "50 Directors Who Make a Difference" by School Band and Orchestra Magazine in 2007. An active arranger and clinician in the U.S., Lehman recently joined the staff of the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band in San Antonio, TX.
