Dr. Ramon Luzarraga, Theologian-in-Residence at the Institute of Pastoral Initiatives >> and lecturer in religious studies, has expertise in the history of the Catholic Church in Latin America, including Argentina and the "Dirty War;" political theology including liberation theology; and Hispanic theology. He holds a B.A. from Fordham University, where he double-majored in political science and theology, an M.A.R. from Yale Divinity School, and a Ph.D. with a focus on systematic theology and ethics from Marquette University. Other research interests deal with questions on Catholic faith, doctrine, practice, ethics in the developing world, especially the global South, political theology in all its varieties as well as Hispanic and Caribbean theology.
