Profile

Chad E. Burton is the founding attorney of Burton Law, a virtual law firm based in Ohio and North Carolina. His practice focuses on two primary areas: business law and dispute resolution. He received a B.A. in political science from Miami University and a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University.

Professor Burton serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Dayton School of Law's Program in Law and Technology and is a member of the eLawyering Task Force and the Education Board for the American Bar Association's Law Practice Management Section. He also is the vice chair of the Dayton Bar Association's Law and Technology Committee and chair of the DBA's Leadership Development Program. He has served on the Ohio State Bar Association's Council of Delegates, the DBA Board of Trustees and as chair of the OSBA's Young Lawyer Section and the DBA's Young Lawyer Division.

He is a fellow with both the American Bar and Ohio State Bar Foundations.

Outside the legal profession, he is a member of the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery's Associate Board, is past chair of the Unified Health Solutions Board of Trustees and previously served on the Miami Valley Teen Coalition board. He recently completed a two-year term as council president for Epiphany Lutheran Church.
