Jody Erickson

Jody Erickson is managing associate general counsel of WellPoint, Inc.’s Medicaid Business Unit. Professor Erickson began her health care law practice with the largest tertiary hospital system in Dayton. After almost six years on the provider side of health care law, she joined the legal department at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Her practice has spanned a number of internal Anthem clients including health care management (provider contracting, utilization management, credentialing, audit) and ancillary products (vision and dental). She is currently focused solely on the legal issues arising in the full range of operations and strategic development of managed Medicaid and dual eligible programs.
She obtained her undergraduate degree in pharmacy from Purdue University in 1989. She was a practicing pharmacist before entering the University of Dayton School of Law and graduating in 1995.
