Profile

Jane Dunwoodie assists the Dean of University Libraries with a variety of tasks and projects. She works with donors, the Libraries Advisory Council, and programs and projects of all types.

She came to the University with a variety of non-profit management experience. She had been the head librarian of the Dayton Art Institute, Director of the Ohio Museums Association and administrator of an Ohio Arts Council regrant program, and Assistant Manager of the Engineers Club of Dayton. Jane majored in painting and minored in sculpture when obtaining her B.F.A. and is an artist currently working in wood and photography. Her past library work included elected and service positions with the Art Libraries of North America and its regional chapter; the Library Directors Board of SOCHE; the Special Libraries Association; and the OHIONET board.

Her volunteer work has included serving as the President of the Dayton Museum of Natural History Associates, a member of the judges panel of the Wright-Dunbar Walk of Fame, and work for UCP and Goodwill Industries.
