Sharing the history of Catholic Education
To extol the gifts of Catholic education, Dr. Jim Rigg, Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, is teaching a course on the history of Catholic schools to seminarians who are in theology studies at the Athenaeum in Cincinnati. Dr. Rigg invited Dr. Tom Hunt, a Fellow in the Center for Catholic Education at the University of Dayton, to teach two sessions. Dr. Hunt has taught about the history of Catholic education throughout the country and gladly accepted the invitation. The purpose of the course is to better inform future priests and deacons about the richness of Catholic education.
