Dr. Tom Hunt to Serve on Dissertation of the Year Award Committee
With recognition of his leadership and performance during last year’s award process, Dr. Tom Hunt has once again been asked to serve as Chair of the Catholic Education Special Interest Group of the American Educational Research Association Dissertation of the Year Award Committee.
Established just two years ago, the Catholic School Dissertation of the Year Award advocates and promulgates the research of Catholic education while recognizing scholars of Catholic educational research. Michael James, Boston College, and Martin Scanlan, Marquette University, serve on the committee with Dr. Hunt. Together, they will review the seven executive summaries submitted this year. Of these seven summaries, two will be chosen for a detailed review of the full dissertation.
Awards will be announced at the American Educational Research Association meeting in late April.
