Dr. Tom Hunt Publishes 27th Book
The twenty-seventh book by Tom Hunt, Ph.D., Fellow in the Center for Catholic Education at the University of Dayton, is due to be released by October 2013. Urban Catholic Education: The Best of Times, the Worst of Times, offers the perspectives of ten scholars – many affiliated with Catholic schools and universities – as they take a look at the highs and lows of Catholic schools in ten of America’s major cities from the height of the Vatican II era to recent times. The essays address common themes as well as elements that make Catholic education distinctive in each city.
Hunt co-authored and co-edited this latest publication with David J. O’Brien and Timothy Walch.
Urban Catholic Education: The Best of Times, the Worst of Times is a sequel to his 2010 work − Urban Catholic Education: Tales of Twelve American Cities, which explores Catholic schools from Colonial times to the Vatican II era. The latter book was co-edited with Timothy Walch.
