Admission Prerequisites
Biological Science
Option 1: Full Sequence Anatomy and Physiology (Laboratories); Plus at least 3 semester credits in upper division science related to human physiology/biology
Option 2: Full Sequence General Biology (Laboratories); Plus at least 3 semester credits related to human physiology/biology
Physical Science
Option 1: Full sequence of General Physics (for Physics or Pre-Med Majors); Plus 2 Chemistry Courses with laboratories
Option 2: Full sequence of General Chemistry (for Chemistry or Pre-Med Majors); Plus 2 Physics Courses with labs
General Courses
Human Development: A course which covers physical, social, and/or psychological development beginning with conception
Psychology: An introductory psychology course
Statistics: A basic statistics course
Computer Applications: A basic computer applications course
Medical Terminology: A course in basic medical terminology
Social Science: A course from the following options: sociology, geography, anthropology, minority groups, diversity, economics, or American government
English Language: A full sequence of English composition which includes writing components.
Communication: A course in basic communication skills to include public speaking
Arts: An appreciation, theory and/or history course in music, art, photography, etc., or 1 year of ensemble music (private music lessons do not apply)
Humanities: a course from the following: ethics, cultural perspectives, literature, philosophy, critical thinking, second language, world history, western civilization, U.S. history, American history, Canadian history
Physical Fitness/Wellness: A physical fitness/wellness or theory course
