Office of Academic Programming

We provide leadership and support for the integration of technology-enhanced learning programs and strategies in the undergraduate and graduate programs of the School of Education and Allied Professions.

Our Services

  • Assist students with the use of ITEL's resources.
  • Serve as a preview center for computer software for students, faculty, staff and local educators.
  • Provide training for faculty and staff.
  • Inform faculty about the current trends in educational technology, including hardware and software concerns, social and ethical issues, and successful teaching practices using computers and allied technologies.
  • Introduce and encourage the use of technology (primarily via computers) as an alternate mode of delivering instruction, with an emphasis on the "hands-on" nature of the technology.
  • Reduce the computer anxiety of users by providing help, support and encouragement in a non-threatening environment.

For larger classroom computer needs, the PC Lab, located in Chaminade Hall 201, provides 27 networked computers.  A Smart Board, large white boards, a scanner, a printer and a teacher workstation on the network allow for options when instructing a class.  UD wireless is also available.
