Graduates of the engineering technology programs find positions in facilities management, maintenance management, manufacturing, manufacturing supervision, plant engineering, product design and development, purchasing, quality management, technical sales, technical services, and many other areas.
According to a recent survey of engineering technology graduates, the average starting salary is approximately $52,000 per year and advancement to managerial positions is strong.
About a third of our engineering technology graduates pursue graduate degrees such as Master of Industrial Administration, Master of Business Administration, Master of Engineering Management or Master of Management Science. Some go on to pursue graduate work in technical fields including compuer science, electronics and manufacturing. Other choose law school for careers in environmental law, patent law, or general practice.
