Domestic Breakouts
Blue Rock Station Breakouts
- Dates: April 12-14, 2013; and
October 11-13, 2013 - Location: Philo, Ohio
- Blue Rock Station (BRS) is a sustainable living center that focuses on solutions that create ways to live more simply. EARTHSHIP. Weekends at BRS will allow everyone the opportunity to experience life in a more sustainable way through work,learning and meals.
- Weekend will include:
- A tour of the existing buildings at BRS
- An overview of the buildings/plastering
- Learning different earth plaster techniques
- Apply finish plaster in main room of the Earthship
- A series of discussions focus on the future of green technology and virtual products
- Cost: $80 (includes everything: transportation, housing and food)
- Registration: due Monday, April 1, 2013; and Tuesday, October 1, 2013

International Breakouts
Honduras Breakout
- Dates: May 6-15 2013
- Location:
- Heart to Honduras (H2H) is a Christ centered ministry which strives to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the poor in Honduras. Some of the projects they have worked on include: rainwater collection systems, constructing sanitary toilets and constructing family homes.
- 10 day retreat will include:
- Tour of H2H campus
- Tour of projects completed in the community
- Assist on projects that work on providing clean water to the locals
- Immersion into the Honduran culture
- One day travel excursion
- Cost: $750 (includes everything: transportation, housing and food)

Nicaragua Breakout
- Dates: May 6-15, 2013
- Location: Sabana Grande
- Grupo Fenix was founded in 1996 by a group of students at the National Engineering University in Managua who were interested in renewable energy for Nicaragua. Some of the projects they have investigated include: solar pumps, solar drip irrigation systems, micro-hydroelectric systems, PV battery charging centers, photovoltaic panels, solar dryers, solar water heating systems, biogas digesters and solar ovens. Implementing these projects in the rural communities of Nicaragua has given birth to several organizations.

- Tour of UNI
- Tour of projects completed in the community
- Assist on projects that work with PV installation, building solar ovens and battery chargers
- Living with a host family
- Immersion into the Nicaraguan culture
- One day travel excursion
- Cost: $750 (includes everything: transportation, housing and food)
- Registration: due Friday, February 1, 2013
