Women in Engineering Summer Camp: Accommodations and Fees
The Women in Engineering Summer Camp takes place on the University of Dayton campus. Your counselor, a woman engineering student from the University, works with eight to ten camp participants and stays in a nearby room. Counselors and camp staff are available 24 hours a day. Meals are provided by the University food service.
You are responsible for transportation to and from camp. Campers who drive to camp are required to turn over their car keys to their camp counselor upon arrival at camp — and their keys will be held by their camp counselor until camp departure on Friday. No driving of personal vehicles is permitted during camp week. If your are arriving or departing via Dayton International Airport, please see http://www.flydayton.com/index.php?page=ground-transportation for information on taxi or charter service.
We are unable to accommodate campers arriving earlier than the first day of camp (Sunday), or late departures after camp has ended at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
Each year businesses, industries, and professional engineering organizations donate their time and lend financial support to keep the Women in Engineering Summer Camp an affordable value for participants.
Your $600 fee covers a double-occupancy room, all meals and camp events. Consider bringing money for snacks, video games, shopping at the bookstore and personal items. Parents and family members may purchase tickets for the graduation luncheon on Friday. Need more information? Contact us today!
