Concentration in Energy Systems (Chemical Engineering)

This concentration is open to all engineering students. The Energy Systems Concentration provides an interdisciplinary concentration in energy systems and its social consequences. Students completing this concentration will be prepared for jobs in both industrial and building energy systems, a rapidly growing market.

Fossil-fuel resource constraints, the environmental hazards associated with traditional energy, and the need for reducing CO2 emissions are driving profound changes in the energy economy. These changes require engineers capable of researching, designing, and installing energy efficient and advanced energy technologies. The Energy Systems Concentration provides a sound basis in fundamentals and applications of energy systems.
