The Center of Excellence for Computer Vision and Wide Area Surveillance Research develops new algorithms and architectures for real-time applications in the areas of signal processing, image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, artificial neural networks and bio-mimetic object-vision recognition.

Welcome the newest addition to the Vision Lab: the hexacopter drone.

This battery-operated 6-wing aerial drone can hold up to 13 lbs and is capable of flying for 25 minutes with a Canon 5D Mark iii on board. The new team member will be used to collect aerial data for various on-going research projects within Vision Lab.
