EHS Safety Training
Overview
From office safety, to occupational health and safety to laboratory safety, the University is committed to making sure that individuals are being properly informed. As such, Environmental Health and Safety provides online and in-class safety training to faculty, staff and students in over 40 differet categories.
In August 2018, the University unveiled a new safety training platform called SciShield (formally known as BioRaft). The purpose of the SciShield online management system is to assist researchers, lab managers, supervisors and EHS staff assign, track and document training to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for students, faculty and staff at the University of Dayton.
To access SciShield, go to https://udayton.scishield.com and log-in with your University of Dayton Novell username and password.
Safety Training with SciShield
SciShield is a web-based system that replaces EHS online training modules to better support safety compliance.
SciShield features include an individual training transcript, reminder emails when training is due or expired, printable training certificates, hazard assesment based on room hazards/job duties and supervisor oversight.
