11/16/09 - FREE H1N1 IMMUNIZATION CLINIC FOR UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON STUDENTS WEDNESDAY, NOV. 18, AT RECPLEX; PUBLIC HEALTH CLINIC THURSDAY, NOV. 19, AT ARENA.

The University of Dayton Health Center recently received another supply of H1N1 flu vaccines for students. This limited supply will only be made available to students 24 years old and younger. Students who wish to receive the H1N1 flu vaccine must bring their student IDs and wear clothing that allows the upper arm to be easily exposed. Those without a student ID will not be permitted to receive the vaccine. Students who receive the vaccine will be required to complete a registration form. There is no charge for the vaccine.

        When: 4-6 p.m. (while supplies last) Wednesday, Nov. 18.
        Where: MAC gym at the RecPlex. Please enter through the Welcome Desk.
        Info: Open to students 24 years old and younger.
        Cost: Free.

Students are encouraged to attend the University-sponsored clinic on campus Nov. 18, however, if students are unable to receive the vaccine at the University's clinic and wish to get vaccinated this week, they have another opportunity Thursday, Nov. 19. The University expects to receive another supply of vaccines soon and will schedule a clinic after Thanksgiving.

Public Health - Dayton and Montgomery County is also sponsoring a free, public H1N1 immunization clinic.

Public Health H1N1 Immunization Clinic

        When: 2-6 p.m. (while supplies last) Thursday, Nov. 19.
        Where: University of Dayton Arena.
        Info: Open to all targeted groups, including those 24 years old and younger.
        Cost: Free.

Participants will be required to complete a flu vaccination consent form. For more information on this clinic visit the Public Health Web site.

Please note this clinic is not sponsored by the University of Dayton and is open to the public. Long lines are expected.
