Jessica González '96

Supporting the Campus Campaign comes naturally to me. As a proud graduate of the University of Dayton, and now an employee, I have seen the difference my contribution makes. Like so many other faculty and staff members who already give much of their time, I know that an additional financial contribution can make a difference in our colleagues' research and student-led initiatives and projects.

Which area I contribute to has varied throughout the years, but most goes to scholarships. Years of working with students and their families who are facing the challenges of a tough economy — striving for the quality, integral education which UD provides but not being able to afford it — inspired me. I have seen firsthand where my contribution goes and how it has been utilized: for access.

I believe our students are the reason we are here; why this fantastic institution is able to break barriers of learning in order to transform, through education, the leaders of tomorrow. I had access and I want others to have the same.
