Fall 2012 Entering Class: Important Dates and Deadlines

Starting January 2012: File your 2012–2013 FAFSA as soon as possible (preferably before May 1).

April 15, 2012: The first non-refundable seat deposit of $250 is due to hold your place in the entering class. For students admitted after April 15, the first seat deposit due date is indicated in your letter of admission. You may pay by credit card or check. You may also rent a locker for $50, for which you also may pay by credit card or check.

June to August 2012: Receive your LDAP (university username) from the School of Law's IT manager if you have made your first seat deposit. This will grant you access to online university systems, including your email account and Porches.

June 15, 2012: The second non-refundable seat deposit of $350 is due to hold your place in the entering class. For students admitted after May 15, the second seat deposit due date is indicated in your letter of admission. You may pay by credit card or check. You may also rent a locker for $50, for which you also may pay by credit card or check.

June 15 to July 31, 2012: Email your digital photo for your UD Flyer Card (university ID) to mboston1@udayton.edu. You may also rent a locker and pay your seat deposit online.

June to July 2012: Parking Services will email you a specific time period in which you can purchase a parking permit. Check your university email account daily for this announcement.

July 6, 2012: Registration information including fall semester schedules and the textbook ordering process will be mailed. You must sign and return your registration confirmation to finalize your enrollment. You will also receive payment and billing information in the mail from the university bursar.

July 20, 2012: Registration confirmation is due.

July 25, 2012 (tentative): Orientation information will be posted.

July 31, 2012: Deadline for emailing your digital photo for your UD Flyer Card (university ID) to mboston1@udayton.edu, sending in your completed immunization form and having your undergraduate degree-granting institution send us your official degree transcript.

August 13 and 14, 2012 (tentative): Walk-in registration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Keller Hall. You may pick up registration materials, your ID card, locker key and mailbox key.

August 15–17, 2012 (tentative): Orientation for entering students.

August 22, 2012 (tentative): First day of classes.
