Transfer Student Applications
Students may seek admission to the University of Dayton School of Law after successfully completing their first year of law school at another ABA-accredited institution. Transfer applicants must be registered with LSDAS and provide:
- Official undergraduate degree transcript directly from your undergraduate institution
- Official law school transcript
- Law faculty letter of recommendation
- Letter of good standing from your current ABA-approved law school
- First-year course descriptions from your current ABA-approved law school

Visiting/Transient Applications
Students seeking to study at the University of Dayton School of Law after successfully completing two years of law school at an ABA-accredited institution may apply as a visiting or transient student. Applications for admission as a transfer or visiting/transient student are normally considered for the fall semester only. Applicants applying as visiting or transient student must provide:
- Letter of permission and good standing from your current ABA-approved law school
- Completed University of Dayton School of Law application (no personal statement required)
- Statement outlining the reasons for visiting at University of Dayton School of Law
