Join Us for Alumni Weekend

June 6-7, 2014

Volunteers from all classes are needed to assist in planning Alumni Weekend 2014. Volunteers are also needed to serve on Reunion Year Committees for the Classes of 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2009.

Help organize activities and recruit your classmates to join you for a weekend of reminiscing, reconnecting and revelry. To volunteer contact Lee Ann Ross at 937-229-3793 or by email at lross1@udayton.edu.

The 2014 Alumni Weekend will take place June 6-7. It includes:

- A reception at the University of Dayton's River Campus Facility
- CLE program
- St. Vincent De Paul community service project
- Alumni reception and dinner
- Presentation of the Distinguished Alumni Award, Honorable Walter H. Rice Honorary Alumni Award, Francis J. Conte Special Service Award and Steven E. Yuhas Special Service Award

Alumni Weekend Tentative Schedule

June 6

5:30 - 7:30 p.m..

River Campus Reception - Law
1700 South Patterson Boulevard
The reception will take place at river Campus(the old NCR headquarters), and the cost is $25 if attending the UDSL reception only. If you're also attending a Class Party, the cost is $35. We will be presenting the Special Service awards.

June 7

8:30 a.m. - noon

CLE
Mathias H. Heck Courtroom, Keller Hall
3 CLE Hours: 1 credit hour of Professionalism and 2 general credit hours. 
Professor Richard A. Saphire will present on “Modernizing the Ohio Constitution," Mr. Robert Steinberg will present on “Trial & Settlement in Complex Cases’’ and Mr. William C. Mann ’79 will present on “Legal Ethics v. Professionalism.”

9 a.m. - noon

Community Service Project
St. Vincent DePaul
Click here for details. Prior to volunteering, all group members will need to read and comply with the Code of Ethics. All volunteers must be at least 14 to volunteer on-site. Volunteers ages 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult.

5:30 p.m. Dayton Law Class Receptions 
Keller Hall East Lawn
Meet on the East Lawn of Keller Hall for a private reception for the School of Law Classes of 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009.  There is also a general reception for all other classes.  Dr. Willie Morris Jazz Band will provide musical entertainment.
 
7 p.m. Dayton Law Alumni Dinner
Keller Hall Atrium
Meet for dinner in Keller Hall Atrium.  We will present the Distinguished Alumni and the Walter H. Rice Honorary Alumni Awards. We will also have a Silent Auction with the proceeds supporting the law students Pro Bono public interest work. The cost of dinner also includes entrance into the Porch Party after dinner.

Winner Announced for the Dayton Dragons baseball game suite

CONGRATULATIONS to Chris Epley '99, winner of the Dayton Dragons Suite!

The Alumni Association is no longer selling tickets for a chance to win a suite for 20 of your friends at a Dayton Dragons baseball game.  The suite is reserved for Friday, July 11, with a game time of 7 p.m.  Each ticket is $10. The drawing for the suite will be during our Alumni Weekend dinner on Saturday, June 7.   Ticket sales will benefit our Volunteer Student Law Project (VSLP).

Silent Auction

Silent Auction table 2013There will be a silent auction during Saturday, June 7, starting at 5:30 p.m. at Keller Hall. Be sure to bid on many of our exciting prizes. Proceeds go to the Volunteer Student Lawyer Project that provides opportunities to law students to work with local attorneys on pro bono cases, thus obtaining practical legal experience, an opportunity to network in the local legal community, and an opportunity to accumulate hours towards the Pro Bono Commitment to Community Program.
