Health Insurance

To ensure your health and well-being, the University of Dayton requires students to carry health insurance that covers them for the entire calendar year. Beginning this year (2012–13), all law students will be automatically enrolled in the university’s health insurance plan sponsored by UnitedHealthCare Student Resources. Payment will be billed to your account.

If you have health insurance comparable to the university’s, you may request to be excluded by completing a health insurance waiver. The information submitted will be evaluated to determine if it meets university guidelines.

In order to avoid being automatically enrolled in the university plan, this waiver must be completed by Aug. 28.

You should always carry your insurance card (or a copy of both the front and back of the card) at all times.
